AML / KYC
ChangeBtc actively fights against the risk of fraud and illegal activities, taking all possible measures to protect users and partners. One of such measures is the implementation of customer verification and ensuring the security of financial transactions. The AML/KYC procedure is an effective way to confirm the legality of clients, whether individuals or legal entities.
Introduction
ChangeBtc has an automated system capable of detecting suspicious activity when making transactions. If the system deems the operation suspicious, the transaction will be suspended, and the user will be prompted to undergo AML/KYC verification. Our risk assessment criteria are confidential for security reasons, but it is worth noting that the system effectively addresses issues such as money laundering and fraud.
Please note that ChangeBtc reserves the right to engage a third-party service provider to conduct the AML/KYC procedure. When processing your information, this provider adheres to our Privacy Policy to ensure the security of your personal data.
ChangeBtc may provide information obtained during the AML/KYC procedure to law enforcement agencies upon receipt of a legitimate official request.
ChangeBtc will never enter into an agreement with individuals or legal entities suspected of money laundering or directly involved in illegal activities, even if it is known that the funds were obtained illegally.
AML and KYC Procedure
The AML/KYC procedure may be activated for operations that our automated risk warning system classifies as suspicious. In such cases, the user should seek assistance from our support team via email or online chat and be prepared to provide the operation ID.
The AML/KYC process involves verifying the user`s identity and, in certain situations, confirming the legality of fund ownership by providing relevant documents.
Upon receiving documents, ChangeBtc takes necessary actions to identify manipulative documents, fake information, or any false information and reserves the right to conduct additional investigation regarding specific users or transactions flagged as suspicious.
The transaction will be executed only after successful completion of the AML/KYC procedure.
If the Service receives information from law enforcement, regulatory bodies, legal entities, or other competent authorities regarding potential fraud, money laundering, or other suspicious activities associated with the transaction/source address/recipient address, ChangeBtc reserves the right to suspend all actions regarding the client`s funds while conducting an investigation.
Given the nature of the blockchain, if the user does not contact the Service for an extended period and does not complete the AML/KYC procedure, fund refund or operation resumption is possible only after completion of the KYC procedure.
Disclaimer
ChangeBtc makes efforts to ensure fast and transparent service. Any changes or updates to the AML/KYC procedure will be provided to the user via email and other available communication means, as well as reflected on our official website changebtc.co.
